Sex & The City 2 is only weeks away, and I can't get it off my mind! I have looked at pictures on set, have watched the trailers multiple times, and still haven't gotten my fix. I think most girls' dream is to live a day in the life of the unforgettable, Carrie Bradshaw.

Today's Diamond In The Rough

Posted By Caitiebs ~ May 13, 2010 4:52PM

I have been putting off getting a pair of reading glasses for months now. Who would expect that certain frames, without the lenses, cost close to $300?! Yes, I want a classy, chic pair of readers, but not for over $300! I had the brilliant idea of browsing on Ebay to see what I could come up with. surprisingly I found some similar Dior ones I tried on earlier this week, for only $100! Now that's truly a "diamond in the rough!" Reading glasses have become a pretty big fashion statement, and I will admit, that I have always loved the look of them (not just because I feel and look smarter), but because desperately need a pair for me to be able to read my fashion magazines!

Gold Surprises

Don't you just love vintage Vogue editorials? I can't get enough of them. While I was on The Fashion Spot, I spotted an editorial from 1977 that was featured in U.S. Vogue, photographed by Deborah Turbeville. Enjoy!

The Perfect Denim Look

Posted By Caitiebs ~ May 12, 2010 7:58PM

This morning when I did my diamond in the rough post, I talked about what you could pair a denim jacket with. I wanted all of you to get a visual, so I made a collage for you all to see. Enjoy!

Hits & Misses At Costume Institute Gala

Posted By Caitiebs ~ May 12, 2010 6:03PM

The 2010 Costume Institute Gala was held not too long ago, and I never got a chance to post my favorite looks from the night, and my least favorites. There was definitely an array of styles that walked down the red carpet, which made the event more fun to research.

Today's Diamond In The Rough

As I have mentioned a few times over the last few months, denim is one of this seasons biggest trends. Whether it is a ripped up pair of shorts, or an old school denim jacket, these pieces are key for the Summer. Think you can't find anything to go with a denim jacket? Think again! You can easily pair a nice floral dress or romper, with a rolled up jean jacket, and a nice pair of Oxford's. Easy enough, right? I found a great looking vintage Marc Jacobs jacket this morning that is absolutely perfect! I love the military look to it (which is also a trend that is circling around), and the small amount of color, that gives it a little more originality.

The Find

Posted By Caitiebs ~ May 12, 2010 5:53AM

On Mother's Day my mom and I went to Borders, and I was very lucky because she can never resist buying me a few books. One of the great new hardbacks I got, The Find, is a fabulous book that gives you advice on how to decorate your home by great finds from flea markets and antique shops. I am a big fan of both, and am always looking for new tips on how to make an old banged up piece look fresh and new. I really recommend this book to anyone who is also into flea market finds, or anyone who is just looking for tips on how to make their home look that much better!

Bid On Anna Wintour

Posted By Caitiebs ~ May 11, 2010 5:15PM

All fashionistas want to meet the famous Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour. Well apparently now, if you are willing to bid over $6,500, you can have the chance to not only meet her, but get tickets to a fashion show during New York Fashion Week, get an Alexander Wang duffle bag, a Christian Louboutin $1000 certificate, and much, much more! How crazy is that? What's good is that all of the proceeds benefit the Art of Elysium. I think that a starting bid of $6,500 is pretty low considering what the winner will get, don't you think? If I could, I would be outbidding everyone in site!  (Refinery29).

Today's Diamond In The Rough

I've been getting way more into wearing many pieces of jewelry at once rather than one necklace and one bracelet. I love the look of stacking your different jewels together, it makes your neck and arms look way more festive. A few weeks back I got a Ralph Lauren bracelet that I absolutely love, and have been wearing almost everyday. This morning I searched for Ralph Lauren jewelry on Ebay, and found a fun bracelet that looked very Springy. I love the coral- orange color, and think that you could have a great time finding difffernt pieces to go with it.
